Program Overview

Founded in 2000, Clearview Outpatient Los Angeles has evolved into a true place of healing. We know that clients have a lot of choices when it comes to finding an outpatient treatment center and that picking the right one for them can feel overwhelming. Clearview was such a wonderful and helpful program. I was urged by my therapist to start an IOP, and Clearview was her first choice. I was hesitant at first, initially not wanting to go through IOP, but it has been a life changing decision. I’m so grateful for the DBT group led by Nicole - it taught me so many skills that help me manage my life. Nicole was also my therapist, and was by far one of the best therapists I’ve ever had. Her insight was so impactful to my life and she cares about what she does. Gillian Bieler was the outpatient Director and ran the program so smoothly. I loved my time at Clearview, I really can't thank all of the staff enough for how much they have helped me. With the help of my therapist Nicole I was able to start making a life worth living and move out of the dark place I was in. Our Program

At Clearview Outpatient, we provide customized care that’s designed to meet each client’s specific needs and unique goals. We understand that people are not their diagnosis; they’re a combination of all that’s happened in their lives and their future journeys. Because of this, our clinical team of board-certified psychiatrists, licensed clinical social workers, registered art therapists, and licensed professional counselors partner with clients and their families to design treatment plans that provide a successful pathway to recovery.
Our clinical team creates intensive treatment plans allowing clients to explore new ways to enjoy life. In a supportive and healing environment, we take a whole-person approach to treatment using evidence-based modalities that facilitate progress from clinical care toward independent self-care. Our program provides tailored psychotherapy groups that meet each week to teach our clients practical ways to handle life’s challenges, ensuring they address each client’s needs. Group-based therapy, individual psychotherapy, and family sessions ensure optimal progress in treatment and help improve each client’s quality of life.

The treatment process begins with the primary therapist conducting a comprehensive assessment that, upon permission from each client, includes consultation with the client’s prescriber, psychotherapist, significant others, and other service providers. Our experienced psychiatrists oversee all treatment, conduct psychiatric evaluations, and provide careful medication management as needed. Our psychiatrists communicate with the community prescriber, ensuring medication changes fit within their treatment plan. Additionally, we value and foster collaboration with community providers as we serve as an extension of each client’s treatment team. The two-way communication ensures clients receive seamless continuity of care as they transition into and out of our program.

Levels of Care

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Partial Hospitalization (PHP) includes intensive psychotherapeutic treatment and support in a less restrictive setting than inpatient care. Clients can participate in a structured therapeutic program during the day while living in the comfort of their own homes. The goal is to establish a foundation for long-term recovery support. Our PHP (day treatment program) is seven hours per day, five days a week.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

An Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed to help individuals who are experiencing an increase in distressing symptoms and behaviors or are not progressing in traditional outpatient services. The extra treatment and support foster meaningful improvement and create a solid foundation for clients transitioning to community treatment. In our IOP, clients participate in six or more groups per week that are spread throughout the week.

Note: For clients throughout the state of California, an evening V-IOP is offered.

Additionally, we accept out-of-network benefits from major insurance companies and offer a private-pay rate for those who prefer to pay for treatment directly.
