Our Program
Customized Treatment
Compassionate Care
Collaborative Environment
The treatment process begins with the primary therapist conducting a comprehensive assessment that, upon permission from each client, includes consultation with the client’s prescriber, psychotherapist, significant others, and other service providers. Our experienced psychiatrists oversee all treatment, conduct psychiatric evaluations, and provide careful medication management as needed. Our psychiatrists communicate with the community prescriber, ensuring medication changes fit within their treatment plan. Additionally, we value and foster collaboration with community providers as we serve as an extension of each client’s treatment team. The two-way communication ensures clients receive seamless continuity of care as they transition into and out of our program.
Levels of Care
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
An Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed to help individuals who are experiencing an increase in distressing symptoms and behaviors or are not progressing in traditional outpatient services. The extra treatment and support foster meaningful improvement and create a solid foundation for clients transitioning to community treatment. In our IOP, clients participate in six or more groups per week that are spread throughout the week.
Note: For clients throughout the state of California, an evening V-IOP is offered.
Sexualized Drug Use (SDU) & Chemsex Treatment
Clearview’s Sexualized Drug Use (SDU) and Chemsex Treatment is the only specialized program in West LA that addresses the unique challenges of combining sex and substances such as alcohol, cocaine, and methamphetamine.
Open to all individuals — regardless of gender or sexual orientation — our program emphasizes healthy relationships and the recovery process through therapeutic groups. Utilizing dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), we equip clients with emotional regulation and mindfulness skills to help them build healthier lifestyles.
Unlike many treatment programs that overlook sex-related relapse issues, Clearview offers a safe and supportive environment where clients can develop practical recovery plans tailored to their needs. By addressing these critical challenges, we empower individuals to achieve lasting recovery.
Learning Objectives
- Understand the impact of addiction and SDU through psychoeducation
- Explore the principles of healthy relationships
- Gain an overview of the addiction recovery process
- Develop key skills in interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and mindfulness
Chemsex vs. Sexualized Drug Use (SDU)
Chemsex originally described the use of substances like methamphetamine, cocaine, or GHB during sexual activity among gay men. However, it is now recognized that the combination of sex and substances can affect individuals of all genders and sexual orientations, including heterosexuals.
