When it comes to making a complete recovery from an addiction or mental health disorder, family support is vital.
At Clearview, we know how important this component is to treatment, which is why we created several opportunities for families to be involved in treatment and to get the support they need including our Two-day Family Program, our Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Family Skills Course, our Family Support Group, and Family Therapy.
Two-Day Family Program
Clearview’s two-day intensive Family Program is designed to help families address damaging behaviors and rebuild relationships. During the program, with the guidance of Clearview’s skilled treatment team, families participate in activities and group sessions that help them address family issues and build effective communication skills.
Our Family Program is free and available to any family member with a loved one that’s in residential or outpatient treatment at Clearview.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Family Skills Course
For families of women at Clearview Women’s Treatment Center, we offer a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Family Skills Course. This five-week course provides family members with an overview of the DBT skills their loved one is learning during treatment.
Learning DBT skills teaches families how to communicate with their loved ones and how to support their loved one in recovery. The course also allows families to connect with other families when they need it the most.
The course is held weekly via phone and is led by one of our experienced DBT therapists. It’s only open to families of women enrolled at Clearview Women’s Treatment Center and is included as part of treatment.
Family Support Group
No matter the diagnosis, it can be helpful for families to get support while their loved one is in treatment, which is why we hold a free Family Support Group at our Westwood location on a weekly basis.
Our Family Support Group is open to families of clients enrolled in any of our treatment programs, as well as other families in the community who need support.
